Big Picture South Burlington will host its second annual Senior Thesis Project Exhibitions on Wednesday, April 17, 6:00-8:30 p.m., at South Burlington High School, 550 Dorset Street, South Burlington. A school within South Burlington High School, Big Picture offers students in grades 9 through 12 compelling student-driven, real-world learning with a meaningful internship component.
The event will showcase the academic and community service achievements of the program’s senior students and will include presentations on a weightlifting competition to benefit construction of the South Burlington Veteran’s Memorial, an initiative to help senior citizens gain computer literacy to stay in contact with family and friends, and the creation of three murals in communities in Vermont and Ghana on the meaning of happiness.

Registration for children entering kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year will be taking place on the following dates:
Chamberlin School – April 11 & 12
Rick Marcotte Central School – April 9 & 10 Orchard School – April 10 Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1 to enter kindergarten. South Burlington kindergarten is a full-time, five-day per week program. Parents/Guardians need to have a copy of their child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency for registration in order for your child to begin school.
